MultiPlus instruments allow
multiple inputs, multiple outputs and
multiple alarms to be processed
simultaneously and the results retransmitted
back to a control system as analog signals
or over a Modbus connection.
The in-built suite of single
and multi-variable functions allow the
modules to do complex measurement and
control tasks as stand-alone units or pass
on the resultant measurements to other parts
of the control system via the Modbus or
analog outputs. Alarms can also be
received and acknowledged via the Modbus
connection. |

The units use a series of ‘internal’
variables that are calculated from the input
values. These variables can be used for the
alarms, for output as analog/digital signals or
for the display.
All MultiPlus products are constructed using a
common platform with many common features. The
differences between the models are:
- Input conditioning circuit
- Software features for the input type
All units are programmable in plain English from
the front panel keypad or via the digital
communications port (if fitted).
Ideal for remote monitoring, system
engineering time and I/O count, installation,
cabling, set-up, control and maintenance costs
can all be dramatically reduced using multiplus
technology.
